App Review Guideline
4.3 Spam
Apple sees the app as a duplicate: of your own apps, of a template, or of a crowded category.
Why it happens
- 4.3(a): the same app submitted several times with small changes (different name, color or city).
- 4.3(a): an app built from a commercial template or app generator that many others also ship.
- 4.3(b): a saturated category (flashlights, fortune telling, dating, simple games) without something genuinely new.
How to fix it
- Merge near-identical apps into one app (use in-app options or In-App Purchase for variants).
- Make the app clearly different from the template: features, content and design of your own.
- In the review notes, explain what is unique; a rebuttal without real changes rarely works.
What to reply in Resolution Center
After the fix is in the build you submit:
Hello App Review team, Thank you for the review of [app name] [version]. We consolidated [apps] into this single app and added [unique features]. It is not a repackaged template: [explain what is original]. We have submitted build [build number] with these changes. Please let us know if anything else needs attention. Best regards
