App Review Guideline
2.1 App Completeness
The reviewer hit something unfinished: a crash, a broken link, placeholder content, or a feature they could not reach.
Why it happens
- The app crashed or froze on the reviewer's device (often a newer iOS version or an iPad running the iPhone app).
- A login wall with no demo account in the review notes, or the demo account did not work.
- Placeholder text, empty screens or 'coming soon' features.
- In-app purchases that were not submitted for review alongside the build, or fail in the sandbox.
How to fix it
- Open the crash log Apple attached (if any) in Xcode Organizer and fix the crash; test on the exact iOS version named in the message.
- Add a working demo account (user name and password) and any required steps to the App Review Information section in App Store Connect.
- Remove or finish placeholder screens and features.
- Make sure every in-app purchase is in 'Ready to Submit' and attached to this version.
What to reply in Resolution Center
After the fix is in the build you submit:
Hello App Review team, Thank you for the review of [app name] [version]. We fixed the issue described in Guideline 2.1: [describe the crash fix or what was completed]. A working demo account is in the App Review Information section: [user] / [password]. We have submitted build [build number] with these changes. Please let us know if anything else needs attention. Best regards
