App Review Guideline
3.1.1 In-App Purchase
The app unlocks digital content or features with a payment method other than Apple's In-App Purchase.
Why it happens
- Stripe, PayPal or a web checkout used to sell subscriptions, credits, premium features or digital content inside the app.
- Buttons or links that send the user to an external website to buy digital goods.
- Unlock codes or license keys that bypass In-App Purchase.
How to fix it
- Sell digital goods and subscriptions through StoreKit In-App Purchase.
- Remove external purchase links and calls to action (unless your app qualifies for an entitlement such as the reader-app link entitlement or a storefront-specific rule).
- Physical goods and services used outside the app (rides, deliveries, real-world bookings) may keep Stripe or Apple Pay; explain this in the review notes if that is your case.
What to reply in Resolution Center
After the fix is in the build you submit:
Hello App Review team, Thank you for the review of [app name] [version]. Digital content is now sold only through In-App Purchase, and we removed the external purchase link. [Or: the purchases are for physical goods or services consumed outside the app: describe them.] We have submitted build [build number] with these changes. Please let us know if anything else needs attention. Best regards
